Mission

Nordic United is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and provide non-motorized winter recreation opportunities in the Cache Valley area of northern Utah.

Organizational Objectives

Nordic United will do the following to accomplish our goals:

  • Help provide groomed ski trail opportunities for the community.
  • Develop programs to teach the community cross-country and backcountry skiing.
  • Continue to obtain a variety of grants to meet our educational and community outreach activities.
  • Create partnerships with other non-profit groups and government agencies, such as Stokes Nature Center, Wasatch-Cache National Forest, Common Ground Outdoor Adventures, and the USU Outdoor Recreation Department, and then use these partnerships to further non-motorized winter recreation in northern Utah.
  • Actively participate in the planning processes that form policies regarding winter recreation on public lands.
  • Document violations to public land recreation policies and provide this information to the public land management agencies to better manage the resources and conflicts between users groups.
  • Keep the community informed about current land management planning decisions effecting winter non-motorized recreation.
