PayPal Froze Nordic United's Savings
Nordic United operates on volunteers and donations. Our annual budget is $15,000. In October 2021, PayPal froze NU's account and is keeping about half our current savings ($4000) for 6 months. This came with no warning, no review, no discussion, and no recourse.
What triggered it? We tried to change the name on the account from a past treasurer to the current one. They indicate that it triggered their fraud alert. But rather than investigating it and asking for verification or documentation, they shut us down and will not discuss the situation, patronizingly calling it "frustrating" for us.

We have obviously moved to another fundraising platform (GiveButter!) but our $4,000 in funding remains with PayPal for the next 6 months.
We don't seem to have any other options to get our money back, though we are looking for suggestions on TechSoup.
