What We Do

Education
  • Promote opportunities, through trail grooming, instructional courses, and recreational races, for the public to enjoy safe winter recreation on National Forest land.
  • Educate the public on winter human-powered opportunities in National Forests.
  • Educate the community about the joy and health benefits of winter human-powered recreation and the natural winter environment.
  • Promote educational programs that develop an understanding and respect for conflicting winter recreation user groups.
  • Hold cross-country & skate ski classes, and ski/snowshoe outings, for the general public.
Land Management Planning
  • Advocate protection of areas on National Forest lands that provide quality human-powered recreation.
  • Work with other user groups and public agencies to find environmentally sound solutions to conflicts arising from increased user demands for winter recreation on National Forest land.

Board Meetings

Board meetings are generally held on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm, currently on google Meet, but check the calendar. Meetings are generally open to the public. We're always looking for new board members, or someone who just wants to help out on a specific project such as trail grooming, helping with kids ski classes, helping organizing the fundraiser, etc.
